ROMEO AND JULIET American Shakespeare Center on Tour, New College of Florida, February 4, 7:30pm The American Shakespeare Center On Tour comes to NC as part of their 2009/10 Rough, Rude, and Boisterous Tour. With its ravishing language and uproarious comedy, RRomeo and Juliet celebrates love’s triumph and its trivialities. Verona’s walls embrace the volatility of youth as well as the wisdom and restraint that often escape young and old alike. Dance, athleticism, and swordplay share the stage with sonnets, bawdy wit, and soul-searching speeches in this profoundly human and always surprising masterpiece. The group will also perform All’s Well That Ends Well on Feb. 5. Both performances will take place in the Harry Sudakoff Conference Center and begin at 7:30 pm.
