Suspect stole jewelry, cash from NYC church

NEW YORK (AP) — The NYPD is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect who stole jewelry and cash from a church in Queens.

Police have released surveillance photos showing the suspect entering Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Astoria around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say he removed jewelry and an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing.
